When I was in the drum line band in middle school, i couldnt even read sheet notes. I just memorized the rhythm and timing and hopefully didnt sh*t my pants playing live and being off by a beat.
When you cant read 1/4th 1/8th 1/16th notes but you can feel it. We ended up playing live, no one had to audition we just played together. The cool kid played the snare, me? I dropped the base and tenner drum. Still one of my coolest memories. We were called Crazy Monkey or Monkey Madness or something I forgot. The hardest part was going from a steady rhythm to a different rhythm and then back to the original rhythm. I was sweating balls. If i miscalculated I would hit early or too late when transitioning.
Major respect for drums, especially since I watched Whiplash
For me, I tended to overspeed when I'm anxious, whether in recital or driving.
lol Saeki got second seat with a fever...
that would be depressing for the others to hear, that a 1st year with fever played better than them XD
Their teacher has a very very VERY punchable face.
Same with Aono's father.
Great ep. I'm glad we got 24 episodes of this
will it take a break during this summer season?
It’s gonna keep going because on Twitter we haven’t gotten an announcement that it’s taking a break
thats good news
this show is one of my guilty pleasure lol
Why would it be a guilty pleasure? It's a fun show with an interesting theme. Nothing weird about it.
ah because i dont watch music genre whether its anime or live action
thanks to this show i manage to watch sound euphonium (2 seasons + movie 3 + liz and blue bird) and your lue in april become an instant favorite of mine
Okay then even though I never saw it as a guilty pleasure
well its mine to remove the sour taste of those trashy isekai i watched this year and the previous years lol
Couldn’t say because I don’t watch most of those isekai it’s kinda how I caught up to detective Conan and all of its movies I sorta skipped those isekai
I didn't see any news like that and it's listed as 1 part so most likely not
24 eps lts gaw
Trying to find this on Gogo is like trying to find Shiraishi and not being named Kubo.
BASED DOOR-KUN!
ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC PERFORMANCE!
And he's like 'nervous? I don't have that word in my dictionary' :D
And he actually won!
Oof, Ricchan failed :(
Not that it wasn't expected but still sad.
Well, ofc, sensei, he is a solo player.
Ofc his performance was a solo one.
Ao no exorcist says hi XD
THATS WHAT I SAID AS WELL T-T (the shiraishi thing)
Cultured minds think alike ;)
Great episode, the music was smooth and calm.
i would date Akine fr
she's a great chara
cute too, her tsun side also cute
most charas in this series have great personalities, sensei included.
When she leaves the classroom after talking with Aono, I think she was going to cry somewhere alone out of frustration and sadness of failing it.
She looks like was holding it up.
And Hatori, I can tell he was trying to keep his cheerful expression every single time the teacher criticized him, trying not to break out of his character.
I did that too sometimes, when people criticize me, try not to show myself frustrated or saddened by it.
Aono social link with Sensei and everyone level up!!!
More like unlocked with Sensei and Charm up because of everyone's admiration :D
Teachers playing him like a fiddle, pun intended.
Well, this was an interesting..episode..huh.
Made it to the top but feel hollow cause your rival got a cold
REMATCH!
That said at least he can sleep for a month not dreaming of page turning
No way Akine was fine, I wish Aono would have gone after her
she was embarrassed/flustered too that's definitely why she ran away...,, if you're worried about that. She was DEFINITELY fine enough, come'on, she's so strong, she'll just go harder next time.
Dang I really wish we could have also seen Saeki's audition...
Aono's playing was so clean and dynamic here, I love how the recording violinist was able to capture the moments when Aono really got into the performance. But Ayukawa wasn't wrong when he said it wasn't good for orchestra playing, so I'm excited to see how Aono finds his color without compromising the harmonization in an ensemble
color
I like someone talked about the color of the sound.
That's what I love about the the word Japanese uses neiro (音色) lit. color of the sound, I don't think any other language has this kind ever explaining word for this phenomenon.
that was excellent critical feedback of aono's performance from the sensei. hes even more motivated now
Good thing they are selected by their performance, and not by the seniority-based system they use in Japan. Hatori's not on Aono and Saeki's level, and I don't think the dude will be able to progress much at this point.
he spends at least half his time not practicing.
you were good....as a solo
you tied.....because saeki had a fever
dude was double killed and brought back to reality :v
his performance stood out too much to blend in with the rest
Awwsome perfermance. He this good, but his past him is better. Hope he remember the joy he had playing back then.
Beautiful piece 😇
A Beautiful "solo" piece
This was pretty decent 😁
Pretty decent episode just not a lot to talk about today though
the teacher reminds me of that a-hole conductor in Whiplash
Not bad for Hajime but he is not there yet & he has still a competion to do with Nao. I wonder who is going to be the next leader?! Good luck to both.
this music has been etched in my brain for several weeks now
Good job Aono! Better luck next time shawty. Glad this is 2 cour.
The music teacher needs to make up his dam mind. Either he's a soloist or an orchestra member. Why would he tell him he has no unique timbre after saying his performance was that of a soloist? Back in my Drum and Bugle Corps days I was both a line player (Baritone/Euphonium) and had solo and a quartet part so I can understand having two different play styles, but either it's a bad translation or a bad writing cause the teacher is a bit mixed up.
I think he meant as a solo player he's great but the problem with his solo performance was there was no unique sound he produced. It was just good in the sense of performance. Where is his own individual unique sound? He lost it from his experience with his dad. He now either regains it or makes a different sound. On top of that learning how to be a leader and making his sound work with everyone else is gonna be difficult. He has a lot to work on in a month.
My nerves would always get the best of me back when I was in band T^T lol
